Dental bridges are typically recommended when a patient has one or more missing teeth, and the adjacent teeth are healthy enough to support a bridge. The bridge can help restore the appearance and function of the patient's teeth, as well as prevent the remaining teeth from shifting out of place and causing further dental problems.

What to expect during your visit at Mr. Dentist:
- Examination: Just like with a cavity filling, Dr. Plonski will first examine your teeth to determine if a crown is necessary. X-rays may be taken to assess the extent of the damage or decay.
- Preparation: If a crown is necessary, the dentist will begin by numbing the area with local anesthesia. Next, he will prepare the tooth by removing any decayed or damaged portions, as well as shaping the tooth to fit the crown properly.
- Impression: After the tooth has been prepared, the dentist will take an impression of the tooth using a dental putty or digital scanner. This impression will be used to create a custom-made crown that fits your tooth precisely.
- Temporary Crown: While the permanent crown is being created, the dentist will place a temporary crown over the prepared tooth. This temporary crown is designed to protect the tooth and allow you to eat and speak normally until the permanent crown is ready.
- Placement of Permanent Crown: Once the permanent crown has been created, you will return to the dental office to have it placed. The temporary crown will be removed, and the permanent crown will be checked for fit and color match. Once the dentist is satisfied with the fit and appearance, he will permanently cement the crown in place.
- Post-Procedure: After the crown has been placed, you may experience some sensitivity or discomfort for a few days. Dr. Plonski will provide you with specific aftercare instructions, which may include avoiding certain foods or using special cleaning techniques to care for the crown.
